Editor's Note

Welcome to Air Out: News & Opinion Magazine. This is a magazine for the masses, anyone and everyone who would like be informed on the current ‘goings on’ within our state of Utah concerning air quality, environment, & the rights being affected toward concerned citizens. Due to local government actions and current bill writing, we feel it necessary to bring these dealings to your attention.

Our particular favorite topic right now is the frivolous demeanor of the Utah Inland Port Authority or also known as Utah House Bill 0433. Since the beginning of its creation, it has created a wind storm of unethical practices and power plays in an attempt take over on Salt Lake City, the fragile ecosystem of The Great Salt Lake and no attempts to clarify on how it will monitor its environmental impact, plus much more.

Throughout the magazine you will find the profile of a local community member who is making an great impact within many communities throughout Utah within his shared organization of the Salt Lake City Air Protectors. The person we have chose for our profile subject is someone we believe is a person of great humility and shows a great example of being an exceptional citizen.

This magazine will bring you to the forefront of the problems that we have personally seen through field research and in depth interviews. Though we don’t want to give to much detail, I promise that you will want to follow up on our personal memoir story.

The mission statement of our magazine is “ To seek and find the truth and tell the whole story as it is unfolding.” In respect to our fellow citizens, we still believe that there are many individuals who agree that the air here within our state is less than great but many don’t know the studies that show were a lot of it comes from and how it has affected so many. It is our mission to show what dangers lie ahead with our states air quality, environment, and legislature and we want to share that information with you.

We want to create an environment of an informed public so everyone here can make a decision on the information we present. It may sound bold, but we are in a time were having the appropriate information can create action & change lives. We firmly believe in our mission statement and once again welcome you to Air Out Magazine.
